Join us to fight cancer at Oscar Night America

HAPPY NEW YEAR.

As most of you know,  I have been involved for a number of years with The America Cancer Society. In October I was given the privilege of going to work for them. Essentially, I raise money to fight cancer through events. I do not do anything I do not believe in, and the American Cancer Society does really amazing things and truly helps people on a personal level. As you probably already know, we are the largest non-governmental funder of cancer research in the nation. What you may not know about are some of the things we provide locally. We provide transportation assistance to and from the hospital for treatment - a large group of cancer patients do not receive the treatment they need simply because they can not get there. We provide wigs and breast prosthesis to those that need them, as well as binders called Health Care Managers to help patients keep up with all the paperwork involved with managing their treatment.

I am reaching out to you as part or my network of friends to help me start the new year off great and really make a difference.  One of our major events this year is Oscar Night America, taking place February 27th. This official Oscar viewing party will be a fun, elegant evening for a great cause. If you wish to be a part of it we would love to have your involvement. You can find out more at www.onahouston.org. If you would like to attend or if your company would like to sponsor a table you may do so at the web site, or are more than welcome to contact me about it.

For the more than 1.4 million people who will be diagnosed with cancer this year, the American Cancer Society appreciates your help in finding a cure.

Wishing you all the best in the new year.

Truly,
Lori Pinter
