Crossroads Young Professionals Fundraising Mixer

Hi all - I will not be making but was asked to pass this on to anyone interested in attending!

Hi Everyone!

We have set up our marketing and promotional tools to continue to get the word out about our Crossroads Young Professionals Fundraising Happy Hour.  So far, we have 25 guests confirmed with another 20 that that will tentatively make it.  Please view our Facebook invitation (if you are a member) and/or our EVITE invitation and please feel free to attend!  We are all young at heart so the board is welcome!

FACEBOOK: www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=119136818128147&ref=mf

EVITE: www.evite.com/pages/invite/viewInvite.jsp?inviteId=OFLUTVXHURUBALZIKVPB&li=iq&src=email&trk=aei6

We need everyone's help to spread the word!

I will get with Will to discuss the "program" for the mixer, i.e. who is speaking and also having a mentor say a few words.

Thanks!

Katy Ski Jam - July 26th

WHAT: Katy SKI JAM 2010
Featuring: 2010 Big Dawg Slalom, Night Ski Challenge & WaterSki Expo
www.katyskijam.com

WHERE:
The Lakes of Katy, South Lake
Morton Ranch and Pitts Road
Katy, TX 77493

WHEN: Saturday, June 26th 6pm- 10pm

The Lakes of Katy want to show off Extreme Waterskiing and electrify the crowd with a nighttime Slalom Ski Challenge- a type of event that's never been seen before in the Houston area! On the night of the 26th, fans will gather on the shoreline to witness world-class water performances, including Freestyle Barefooters, Wakeboard tricksters, Hydrofoil and Free-Style Jumpers. Evening highlights will include lakeside music, food and fireworks.

This is the first time the Big Dawg Series has come to Houston. Lakes of Katy Homeowners have volunteered their time- and opened up their private lake to host the Big Dawg Slalom Competition, and the evening Water Expo- with the hopes of hosting a fun, family community event.  Tickets are just $10, a "Family 4 Pack" is just $35.  Tickets can be bought on the KatySkiJam.com website via ClickNPrint Tickets.

Correction - Ringwalds, MOnks and Marfreless - some upcoming fun stuff!

OOPS - that would be MONKS!

RINGWALDS FREE SHOW THIS FRIDAY

It's that time of the month again - time for another FREE Ringwalds early show - this Friday, June 4, at the Continental Club, 3700 Main.  Doors open at 7:00 p.m. and we'll play until 9:30 p.m.

Here's a handy checklist for items you'll want to bring to the show: drinking money

FONDUE MONKS BENEFIT SATURDAY

All of you fans , please come out this saturday afternoon between 2p.m and 4p.m. at the alabama ice house located on west alabama between shepherd and montrose.

The Monks will be playing a benefit for Colin Ray who is a long time friend of th bands for over fifteen years, Colin has recently been injured in an altercation that happened in Galveston,tx that has left him severely injured.

We hope to raise enough money for him to help him with his medical bills so please come out and give a little support.

SUMMER DRINK CLASS AT MARFRELESS - SAT, JUNE 12th

Following up on a very fun wine tasting in April, Michael Wells and I will be conducting a summer drink class at Marfreless on Saturday, June 12 from 4:00 to 6:00.  We will introduce beer, wine and several cocktails that are perfectly suited for entertaining (or consuming alone, if you must) during the extended Houston summer, at least a half-dozen of them.  This will be informative, and more so, very enjoyable, as imbibing is a necessary part of this "class."  This can be a good way to start the Saturday night, or end it.

The cost is $30 per person.  RSVP is required.  We can accommodate up to 40 people.  Please RSVP to Mike Riccetti at mjriccetti@gmail.com.  Hope that you can make it.
