Shopping for a Better World
Time to Re-Enroll in the Kroger Neighbor-to-Neighbor ProgramDid you enroll in Kroger's Neighbor-to-Neighbor program last year? The 2008 program ended in May of this year, and SNAP received $2,903.24 thanks to your participation! Now it's time to re-enroll for the 2009 program year. If you didn't participate last year, you can still enroll for this year's program. The program offers you the opportunity to help dogs and cats without it costing you a penny!
How do you sign up? Just take a copy of the SNAP Neighbor-to-Neighbor program letter to Kroger the next time you go shopping. Hand the letter and your Kroger Plus card to the cashier when you check-out, and he or she will scan the bar code on the letter. You only need do this once to be enrolled for the entire year. How does SNAP benefit?
Once you have enrolled, every purchase you make until May of 2010 will accumulate points for SNAP. When the program ends, Kroger will divide up the princely sum of one million dollars between all participating agencies. How much of the total each group receives is based on the number of points they received as a percentage of the total points received by all groups. More points equals more bucks for spay-neuter, so get shopping!
